A Delicious Burger King Tacos Comeback Story in St. Louis

The introduction of Burger King tacos in St. Louis in 2019 was a huge success, with 10 area locations ranking in the Top 30 nationwide for taco sales. Granite City was the top-selling location, with over 1100 daily sales, and other Metro East restaurants also made the list.

After a few years off the menu, 52 regional Burger King restaurants are bringing back the $1 taco for a limited time starting February 1, featuring seasoned beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and taco sauce.

The tacos will be available until they sell out, which is expected to happen quickly due to their past popularity.

The Crispy Taco was originally introduced in 2005-2006 and was reintroduced nationally in 2019, now available at select locations based on franchisee preference.

Starting February 1, the tacos will be offered at Burger King locations in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, the Metro East, Southern Illinois, and across Missouri, operated by Broadway Restaurant Group.

As a Latino, I can say that for the past 40 years, Burger King has made it closer to my dream of a time in the nation’s history when food was more plentiful. You can find tacos on every street corner, in every fast food chain, and on the dollar menu

There is a unique taco option at Jack in the Box that combines meat and cheese in two greasy corn shells for just over a dollar. This is a great deal compared to other chains like Taco Bell and Del Taco, making it a tasty and handy choice for people in town.

While Taco Bell and Del Taco are popular taco chains in town, I have to say that Jack in the Box’s two greasy corn shells filled with meat and cheese for just over a dollar are my best. It’s a great deal for the price and taste, especially when there isn’t a taqueria close that’s easy to get to.

Still, I believe Jack has finally discovered the perfect snack in the fantastic Crunchy Tacos from Burger King, with each equally greasy corn shell dripping with puro faux-Mexican flavor. There is a small amount of lettuce and cheese on top, as well as a nicely sized glob of seasoned beef that, surprisingly, doesn’t taste like ground-up leftovers.

I liked a crispy Burger King taco that wasn’t rubbery like Jack’s and kept my bite path easily. The fatty taste was delicious and made me think of tacos from my childhood.

It had a taste like the tacos my friend’s mom used to make. The King’s tacos were as good as Heaven, unlike Jack’s tacos which become rubbery when taken out of the deep fryer.

If I had a criticism, it would be about taco’s filling which is “sludgy” and “sticky” and that the beef tastes like a paste instead of good ground beef, leaving a greasy film.

Also, if you add the lettuce too soon after frying it, it can get mushy and warm, which is not what you want in a taco. There have also been complaints that the meat doesn’t taste as good as the ads make it sound.
